Experienced Gastroenterologist Required for Locum Position

Location: North Wales

Rates: £110-£130 per hour (Inside IR35 only)

Shifts: Monday-Friday, full or part-time considered. Job plan will be a mixture of ward work, endoscopy & clinics. Log book is required for endoscopy sessions.

We are seeking an experienced Gastroenterologist to join our team as a locum consultant in North Wales. As a Consultant in Gastroenterology, your skills, knowledge, and experience are critical to the provision of Endoscopy services throughout the hospital, particularly diagnostic, therapeutic, and screening endoscopy.

This role offers the opportunity to work flexible shifts at an NHS trust, where you will enjoy close working relationships with your fellow healthcare professionals. Your focus will be on ensuring the highest standards of care are provided to patients of all ages while being a pillar of clinical and educational support for junior Gastroenterologists.

The trust prioritizes medical development and advancement, providing access to some of the most advanced medical equipment in the country and unparalleled opportunities for specialism, research, and academia throughout your consultancy.

  • Deliver high-quality patient monitoring and care.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including recording test results, writing prescriptions, and providing information to patients.
  • Conduct research to improve operating procedures and outcomes.
  • Mentor and train junior doctors and medical students.
  • Demonstrate relevant experience at Consultant level or provide supporting references.
  • Hold evidence of standalone Right to Work in the UK (unfortunately, locum jobs cannot offer visa sponsorship).
  • You will need to pass an enhanced background check (DBS).
