Norgine is seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Manager to join our team. As a Data Governance Manager, you will play a critical role in implementing and maintaining our data governance strategy, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, security, and reliability of our data assets.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement data governance structures and frameworks to align with organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with IT, business stakeholders, and data stewards to establish data standards, policies, and procedures.
- Provide expertise and support to other departments on data governance best practices.
- Develop and maintain the data governance policy and embed data governance roles and responsibilities.
- Develop training for data stewards and data owners.
- Conduct annual monitoring and testing of data governance.
- Work with stakeholders to build a global data catalogue and embed data classification functionality into the enterprise architecture.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive data governance framework.
- Define and enforce data governance policies and standards across the organization.
- Lead the data governance Board and work with data stewards to ensure data quality and compliance.
- Monitor data management trends and advancements to ensure best practices are adopted.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in full-time data management or information governance in a global business.
- Strong understanding of data governance practices and methodologies.
- Pragmatic, commercial mindset with the ability to advise on how to leverage the value of well-governed data.
- Well-organized and able to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
- Passionate about data governance and able to clearly articulate its value.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to data privacy and protection.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or relevant domain qualification in Information or Data Management.
- Strong experience in a data governance structure or a similar role.
- Experience in engaging leadership teams, technical and non-technical audiences, and educating a data-driven culture.
- Certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or similar.
- Knowledge of industry's best data management applications.
- Experience in implementing and managing technical data governance platforms, technologies, and tools.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams in a complex organization.
- Experience working in Pharmaceutical, life science, and/or manufacturing organizations.
