Job Summary
The Cleveland Metroparks Golf Course Starter/Cart Attendant plays a vital role in enhancing the golf experience for guests by providing exceptional customer service, monitoring greens, coordinating play, and enforcing golf course etiquette, rules, and policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide assistance to guests with equipment and answer questions or inquiries in a friendly and positive manner.
- Coordinate the order of play to maintain course tee time intervals and ensure a smooth golfing experience.
- Monitor the practice green and driving range for proper usage and maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Engage with guests to provide a welcoming and enjoyable experience.
- Operate driving range equipment, including the ball picker cart and range ball washer.
- Communicate and enforce golf course etiquette, rules, and policies to ensure a positive experience for all guests.
- Perform general housekeeping duties along driving range stations and maintain a safe work environment.
- Report hazardous conditions on the golf course or clubhouse to the Golf Clubhouse Manager/supervisor.
Requirements
- Regular and predictable attendance is expected and required, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of golf course rules and etiquette.
