About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Practitioner to join our team at the East Kent Colleges Group. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting students with high levels of need, providing individualized support to ensure their academic success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support to students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities, including Autistic Spectrum Condition, Social, Emotional and Mental health needs, Global learning delay, Language & Communication, Sensory, Physical needs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement individualized support plans, ensuring students receive the best possible education.
- Assist students with personal care, mobility, and specific medical/feeding needs, providing a safe and supportive environment.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure seamless support and progress.
About You
We are looking for an individual with strong communication skills, an understanding of behavior management, and a passion for inspiring students to be active in learning. Previous experience working with students with special needs is desirable, but full training will be provided.
