General Service Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and flexible individual to join our team as a Casual General Service Assistant / Kitchen Porter at Queen Elizabeth Barracks, Strensall, York.
Key Responsibilities:- General cleaning duties of the dining rooms and kitchen areas, including sweeping and mopping floors, pot washing, and rubbish disposal.
- Putting stock away and stock rotating using the FIFO method.
- Cleaning fridges and serving at the hotplate.
- Cleaning tables and chairs after service and providing excellent customer service at all times.
- General cleaning duties of FOH and kitchen areas, including vacuuming, dusting, polishing, and mopping.
- Preparation of any other public facing areas as required, including set up for hospitality events.
- DBS to be completed.
- Previous customer service experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be given.
- Must already have or be willing to obtain their Food Hygiene Level 1 via our online e-learning centre.
- Must be flexible with shifts, with the possibility of fewer hours available in some weeks.
- £11.44 per hour.
- Casual 0 hour contracts, with a weekly rota system.
