About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Enhanced Support Worker to join our team at Look Ahead. As an Enhanced Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing person-centred support to individuals with complex needs, helping them to develop the skills and confidence they need to live independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake key-working responsibilities for a caseload assigned by the Team Leader/Manager.
  • Ensure that referrals are chased proactively to fill properties efficiently.
  • Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks, agreeing levels of support and actions.
  • Create support/action plans for providing appropriate services based on the assessment and reflecting the services and resources available.
  • Support customers to undertake domestic tasks, providing practical assistance where necessary.
  • Develop and maintain links with key agencies and service providers in the local community.
  • Develop knowledge around the local mental health system to ensure customers receive the best treatment available.
  • Lead on an area of specialism (ETE, health and wellbeing) and build partnerships and develop internal and external opportunities for service-users in this area.
  • Empower customers to receive the service and benefits they are entitled to.
  • Undertake all administrative work and keep accurate and comprehensive tenant/customer records to professional standards.
  • Encourage and enable tenants to pay their rent and manage rent accounts effectively.

You will be confident with high levels of self-esteem, respectful, articulate and sensitive in your style of communication, and essentially customer-focused.

What You'll Bring:

Essential:

- Up to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent or experience in the social care/charity sector.

Desirable:

Experience of working with complex needs/street homeless.
