About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate care professional to join our team as a General Nursing Assistant (GNA). The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision and guidance of the nursing team, providing high-quality care and support to patients in their own homes.
Job Responsibilities
- To work under the direct supervision and guidance of the nursing team, delivering patient care in the community setting.
- To assess patients' conditions through observation and clinical skills, recording appropriately on EMIS and ensuring relevant professionals are informed in a timely manner.
- To communicate factual information to patients/carers that requires patience, persuasion, and empathy.
- To provide high-quality care for patients and their families within the community setting, including the provision of end-of-life care.
- To maintain accurate personal and professional records, adhering to trust policies, and ensure the most efficient and cost-effective utilisation of all resources.
- To report accidents/incidents of patients or self which occur whilst on duty and complete appropriate forms immediately.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience of working in the NHS and/or a nursing/caring environment.
- Able to use own initiative when required.
- NVQ level 3 in healthcare or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards.
- Understanding of the NHS and current healthcare issues.

Salary
The estimated salary for this role is £22,000 - £25,500 per annum, depending on experience.
