About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team at Langer Primary Academy's Specialist Severe Learning Difficulties Hub.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver individualized curriculums in collaboration with the class teacher, ensuring every child's learning needs are met.
  • Take ownership of speech and language interventions, working closely with specialist teams to implement tailored communication strategies for each child.
  • Direct and guide other staff members in providing exceptional support for the children, ensuring a high standard of care and education at all times.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons in the absence of the teacher, maintaining a nurturing and structured learning environment.

Ideal Candidate

  • A qualified HLTA or equivalent experience, with a passion for working with children who have severe learning difficulties.
  • Experience in speech and language development and a commitment to supporting the communication needs of each child.
  • Confident in directing and supporting a team of teaching assistants and other staff in a small, focused learning environment.
  • Creative and adaptable, with the ability to design and deliver personalized learning experiences.
  • Strong knowledge of SEN and a track record of supporting children with EHCPs.
