Job Summary
As a Product Design Engineer, you will apply your engineering expertise to design, develop, and improve our range of fluid transfer products. You will work closely with marketing, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to ensure the successful commercialization and production of innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Research & Evaluation: Evaluate existing products for redesign based on customer feedback, industry trends, and internal team insights. Conduct market research, product benchmarking, and explore new technologies to identify opportunities for product enhancement.
- Tools & Technology: Utilize computer-aided engineering (CAE) software, analytical tools, and sophisticated instrumentation to design and test products. Maintain a strong understanding of current engineering principles and best practices.
- Customer Design: Develop project timelines, cost comparisons, and select materials, components, and technical data to meet customer requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure designs are aligned with market needs and business objectives.
- Design & Development: Create detailed product designs, including layouts, assemblies, and component drawings. Generate bills of material and ensure designs are cost-effective and manufacturable.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Specify product testing procedures and analyze test results to identify areas for improvement. Work with the quality assurance team to ensure products meet ISO standards and customer expectations.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in engineering industrial products. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent). Master's degree is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues across various departments, including procurement, manufacturing, sales, and marketing.
