Workshop Recruitment is seeking an experienced Mechanical Technologist to work on our client's site in the Havant area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, experience in assembling complex components, and a solid understanding of mechanical systems.
A salary of £13.51 per hour is offered for this role, which includes 37 hours per week, working core day shift, with overtime paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate.
This opportunity involves working in the MRO team, where you will be responsible for disassembling and rebuilding aerospace components, testing and inspecting them, and reporting to the Production Team Leader/Area Manager.
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
- Disassembling and rebuilding hydraulic LRU's (Line replacement units).
- Reporting to the Production Team Leader/Area Manager.
- Utilizing hand tools such as pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.
- Performing visual inspection and identifying defective items.
We require the candidate to have previous experience in the aerospace industry, although it is not essential. A strong engineering background and experience of using various hand and power tools and inspection equipment are also necessary.
