About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Safety and Health Tutor to join our team at IOSH. As a tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting learners in achieving their qualifications in Occupational Safety and Health Management and Leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support learners through their qualification, delivering inductions, workshops, tutorials, and other learning activities.
  • Monitor learner progress, utilizing tools and reports within the LMS, and provide support and encouragement as needed.
  • Provide constructive feedback to learners on their performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes to IOSH policies, processes, and procedures, as well as the qualification specification.
  • Take responsibility for your own health, safety, and wellbeing, and undertake health and safety duties and responsibilities for your role.
  • Treat all employees, customers, and stakeholders with dignity and respect, ensuring IOSH values and behaviours are always demonstrated.
  • Apply an understanding of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion to all situations.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of quality systems, assessments, and processes.
  • Knowledge of assessment and training principles.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the OSH sector.
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills.
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Robust IT skills.
  • Excellent record keeping and attention to details, including working to defined processes and conditions.
  • Ability to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Self-assurance and ability to confidently ask questions.
