About the Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced care professional to join our team as a Registered Manager for a residential care facility supporting young people with autism.
Job Summary
- Lead the management of a residential care facility providing high-quality care and support to young people with autism.
- Ensure compliance with CIW and County Council requirements by monitoring quality, evaluating performance, and developing action plans.
- Compile reports to support quality of care and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Provide guidance, knowledge, and support to the care team.
- Oversee HR-related issues and participate in CIW inspections.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring the provision of high-quality care, support, and accommodation to people.
- Ensure the effective operation of the care facility, including staff supervision and training.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, identifying areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement action plans to address areas for improvement.
- Compile reports to support quality of care and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
Requirements
- Significant operational experience in a care environment, working with all levels of staff and management.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage emotionally challenging situations and be a team player.
- Experience in support work in both educational and residential settings.
- High level of personal resilience and emotional and social intelligence.
- Relevant qualification to allow for approval as a registered manager with CIW and Social Care Wales.
