Data Analyst Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team at Jas Gujral. The successful candidate will have experience in VBA programming and PL/SQL development, with a strong background in data profiling and discovery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Profile data and draw substantive conclusions in response to business questions.
  • Communicate conclusions through clear documentation and verbal communication to both business and IT users.
  • Conduct functional and data testing.
  • Create data flow diagrams and grasp data modeling concepts.
  • Participate in data mapping exercises and work with business requirements.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Financial sector.
  • Strong VBA and SQL skills related to data profiling and discovery, with high proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Development and definitional knowledge of VBA, PL/SQL, and ETL concepts.
  • Attention to detail and ability to understand complexities in data.
  • Knowledge of financial markets, ratings, and financial data is a plus.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and writing skills.
