About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Empowering Learning. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the teacher in the classroom, ensuring the learning objectives are met and general classroom tasks are completed.
  • Develop and implement strategies to engage students with SEN, making learning fun and valuable.
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with the planning and preparation of lessons, adapting materials to meet the needs of students with SEN.
  • Provide individualized support to students, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
Requirements
  • Experience of working in Key Stage 1/ KS1 or Key Stage 2/ KS2.
  • Desirable: SEND experience/knowledge and qualifications in a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
