About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our Infrastructure Design team at Wardell Armstrong. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing infrastructure projects, including highway and drainage elements, to meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design development process for infrastructure projects, ensuring that designs meet national and local standards.
  • Collaborate with clients, approving authorities, and other stakeholders to deliver schemes on time and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Prepare and present reports, drawings, and specifications to clients and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative solutions to complex infrastructure design challenges.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in engineering design, preferably in infrastructure projects.
  • Proficient in the use of digital tools such as AutoCAD, Civils 3D, PDS, MicroDrainage, and Causeway Flow.
  • Experience in producing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy reports.
  • Experience in the preparation of highway designs to local and national standards.
  • Working knowledge of design codes and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
