About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical or Structural Engineer to join our team at Koch Engineered Solutions (KES). As a global leader in emissions-control products, heat transfer products, mass transfer products, and clean-air combustion systems, we offer a unique opportunity to work on complex mechanical systems and packages.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the mechanical design of packaged equipment frameworks and pipe support design. With a strong background in structural steelwork analysis, you will have the capability to perform design and/or work with the mechanical team defining design packages and checking design deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical design for steel structures for process packages or coordinate with design disciplines for timely submission of design deliverables.
  • Prepare design inputs for mechanical designers and review/approve mechanical engineering deliverables.
  • Ensure equipment design meets necessary design codes and standards, project specifications, and good engineering practices.
  • Resolve design issues with project parties (client, procurement, QC, KES workshops, suppliers).
  • Handle customer comments and technical clarifications, interfacing with clients for design issues.
  • Participate in KOM, progress meetings, and design review meetings as needed.
Requirements
  • Strong adherence to safety and demonstrated safe work habits.
  • Experience as a Mechanical Engineer for complex mechanical systems or packages, including structural steelwork.
  • Experience in preparation/review of calculation notes and reports.
  • Demonstrable track record of delivering on time, within budget, with quality and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Well organized and able to work independently.
