Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Tenant Support Specialist to join our team at 5 Star Recruitment. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for housing management and customer service to make a real difference in the lives of our tenants.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to vulnerable tenants, ensuring that their tenancies remain sustainable and that they receive the help and advice they need to succeed.

You will work closely with our multi-agency partners to provide a seamless service to our customers, addressing any breaches or issues that may arise and taking proactive steps to prevent them from escalating.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of housing law and regulations, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advice and information to tenants on tenancy and estate management, including knowledge of housing law and current legislation.
  • Conduct regular inspections of properties to ensure that they are maintained in good condition and that health and safety risks are addressed.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure that compliance checks are carried out in line with current regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local agencies and organisations to provide support to our tenants.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A-C (including English and Maths)
  • NVQ Level 4 or equivalent, or significant relevant experience within housing
  • Evidence of continuing development of professional skills through training, qualification or experience
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar setting with a registered provider
  • Good understanding of social housing and strong emphasis on housing management
  • Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive matters and a wide range of people in varying circumstances
