Job Summary:

Hunter Selection is seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our client's thriving team in the manufacturing sector. As a key member of the design team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and bespoke mechanical designs that meet the needs of our clients across the UK.

About the Role:

  • Develop and modify existing designs to meet customer specifications using 3D CAD systems, AutoCAD, and Inventa.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure design reviews are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Support the production team by creating manufacturing drawings and ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Contribute to the development of new products and processes, driving continuous improvement and innovation within the company.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in mechanical design, with a strong understanding of 3D CAD packages, including AutoCAD and Inventa.
  • Degree in a relevant design engineering discipline, such as Mechanical Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience in industry, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and structural components.
