Family Support Professional

We are seeking a skilled Family Support Professional to join our team in Camden, working closely with local authorities. This is a 3-6 months contract, offering the opportunity to deliver high-quality support services to vulnerable families and children.
About the RoleThis role involves providing assessment, planning, and intervention packages to meet the needs of vulnerable families, children, and young people. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with universal services to identify early signs of need and ensure timely interventions. Key responsibilities include delivering responsive early intervention packages, referring to appropriate services when necessary, and working in partnership with families to achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- To conduct thorough assessments of children and families' needs, underpinned by the Common Assessment Framework, screening tools, and models of engagement.
- To collaborate with universal services to support early identification of need and risk, ensuring needs are addressed in a timely manner.
- To develop and implement evidence-based early intervention packages, referring to relevant services when necessary, and working in partnership with families to achieve desired outcomes.
Families Workers operate within multi-agency, multidisciplinary teams based in community venues and engage with families in their homes. This role requires individuals to demonstrate emotional intelligence and resilience when working with vulnerable families who may present complex needs.
RequirementsThe ideal candidate will possess a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check and experience working with children, young people, and families in diverse, inner-city communities. A competitive salary package will be offered, reflecting the demands and challenges of this role.
