Procurement and Supply Chain Management Role

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement and Supply Chain Manager to join our team at the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS). As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a critical role in driving strategic and operational decision-making through accurate information and sound commercial judgment.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Conduct research to source the best products and suppliers regarding best value, delivery schedules, and quality.
* Continuously gather, analyse, interpret and act upon market intelligence.
* Manage the procurement of materials, goods and services for the organisation, ensuring that you are optimising the cost, cash, quality and service.
* Drive added value through sourcing strategically, value engineering, innovation delivery and risk management.
* Develop and implement procurement strategies in alignment with the organisation's goals, objectives, and business plans.
* Negotiate and agree on contracts, monitor the quality of service provided, and ensure all relevant legal terms are agreed upon between us and the suppliers.
* Maintain supplier relationships, align with our strategic goals, and ensure that suppliers deliver outstanding service and quality.
* Identify and assess procurement risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
* Motivate and performance manage direct reports, ensuring relevant KPI's and objectives are in place for each function.

**Requirements**

* A bachelor's in either business or economics is desirable but not essential.
* Proven experience as a Procurement Manager.
* Effective and up-to-date understanding of the external supply markets, with knowledge and awareness of emerging trends, opportunities, and risks within your category field.
