Mobile Gas Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Gas Engineer to join our team at Fawkes and Reece. As a Mobile Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance and repair tasks on commercial buildings, including high street retailers and banks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out maintenance and repair tasks, including fabric and basic electrical work, as required under contract.
  • Ensure all PPM and reactive tasks are completed to the required legislative standards.
  • Complete all required paperwork and submit it within the specified timescales.
  • Provide information and quotes to clients.
  • Use hand-held technology effectively.
  • Monitor the quality of work from sub-contractors.
  • Ensure all required certification is completed correctly and identify any remedial work.
Requirements:
  • The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 2 (ideally 3) or equivalent.
  • Have experience as a mobile gas engineer or experience as a domestic gas engineer and be willing to be up-skilled.
  • Experience providing maintenance, testing, and fault finding on a variety of equipment, including boiler plant, ventilation, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables, batteries, small power, and lightning.
  • Hold a driving license with no more than 6 penalty points.
  • Be willing to work on a call-out rota, providing out-of-hours full cover to clients.
  • Have knowledge of health and safety and safe working practices.
What We Offer:
  • A salary between £30,744 and £46,791, depending on experience.
  • An electric van with charging costs covered.
  • An electric charging point installation cost covered.
  • A call-out fee.
