About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Solar PV Maintenance Engineer to join our team at the Green Recruitment Company. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our solar PV assets in the South West.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, testing, and remedial work on deployed solar PV systems to ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan.
  • Corrective Maintenance: Respond to and resolve issues with solar PV systems in a timely and efficient manner, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
  • Supply Chain Management: Identify and engage with local suppliers to source materials and services required for corrective maintenance activities.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Accurately document all activities performed on site, including daily reports and maintenance records, to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Risk Assessment and Management: Conduct thorough risk assessments and analysis to identify potential hazards and operational limitations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Third-Party Coordination: Supervise and coordinate third-party contractors carrying out works on site, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Data Security and Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality and security of company data, adhering to data policies, SLAs, and statutory guidelines, including GDPR and UK legislation.
  • Health and Safety: Comply with all required fire, health, and safety regulations, including biosecurity, health and safety, and confined spaces protocols, and attend any required training.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of Maintenance Procedures: Familiarity with maintenance schedules and procedures, including the use of tablet computers.
  • Electrical Systems Knowledge: Understanding of AC and DC electrical systems, including AC distribution boards, DC combiner boxes, automation panels, and high-voltage systems up to 33kV.
  • CCTV and SCADA Systems: Knowledge of CCTV and SCADA systems, including their operation and maintenance.
  • Industry Instruments: Working knowledge of industry instruments, such as digital multimeters, amp clamp-meters, insulation resistance testers, and other relevant equipment.
