Job Overview

Pertemps Network Group is seeking a skilled Class 2 Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Class 2 Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service while navigating a multi-drop environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Shift Vehicle Checks: Conduct daily pre-use vehicle and auxiliary equipment checks to ensure a safe and efficient delivery process.
  • Defect Reporting: Accurately and timely report any defects or issues with vehicles or equipment.
  • Proof of Delivery: Obtain accurate and timely 'proof of delivery' using a PDA or documentation in line with the required standard.
  • Legislative Compliance: Ensure adherence to legislative requirements, including Tachograph and driving infringements, and report any roadside authority checks, accidents, near misses, and hazards.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Adhere to the vehicle cleaning program and ensure the vehicle is maintained in a clean and safe condition.
  • Equipment Operation: Use pump trucks, tail lifts, and forklifting equipment when required.
Requirements
  • Driving License: Hold a relevant, clean driving license.
  • Driving Experience: Have previous driving experience as a Class 2 Driver.
  • Vehicle Familiarity: Be familiar with manual, split gearbox 18t and 26t vehicles.
  • Driver CPC Training: Possess a minimum of 35 hours of Driver CPC training.
  • Multi-Drop Experience: Have experience working in a multi-drop environment (desirable).
  • Candidate Attributes: Be customer-focused, flexible, and willing to go the extra mile for our customers.
