Job Description

CityFibre Limited is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our Supply Chain division. As a key player in delivering digital infrastructure across the UK, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with our build partners and teams, ensuring a smooth process and maximum quality across every build.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Valuing contractor's work and certifying interim and final payments
  2. Assessing and authorising submission of project variations
  3. Assessing, reviewing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks through implementing our policies for risk management
  4. Providing commercial and contractual expertise to city build teams, including producing valuation certification, issuing correspondence, claims, budget monitoring and producing contract/workstream performance data
  5. Building and maintaining contractual relationships with build partners

Requirements:

  1. Solid experience in commercial management and procuring contractors
  2. Working knowledge of NEC3 ECC forms
  3. Ability to negotiate with suppliers and partners
  4. Experience overseeing large capital expenditure projects
  5. Solid skills in excel and data management tools
  6. Experience with using spreadsheets to interpret and collate financial data
  7. Presentation and report writing skills
  8. Ideally, a background in construction, telecoms, civil engineering or utilities
