We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safeguarding and Welfare Officer to join our Student Services team at Barnet Southgate College.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support and guidance to students with safeguarding concerns, working closely with a caseload of students and staff.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the safeguarding and prevent agenda, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver excellent partnership working, supporting students and staff to achieve their goals.
- Utilize effective IT skills to manage casework and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure that all safeguarding and welfare activities are delivered in accordance with college policies and procedures.
Applicants must have a strong understanding of safeguarding and welfare principles, with experience of working with students and staff in a similar role.
A minimum of 5-9 in English and Maths (or equivalent) is essential.
