Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safeguarding and Welfare Officer to join our Student Services team at Barnet Southgate College.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide support and guidance to students with safeguarding concerns, working closely with a caseload of students and staff.
  2. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the safeguarding and prevent agenda, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
  3. Collaborate with colleagues to deliver excellent partnership working, supporting students and staff to achieve their goals.
  4. Utilize effective IT skills to manage casework and maintain accurate records.
  5. Ensure that all safeguarding and welfare activities are delivered in accordance with college policies and procedures.
Requirements

Applicants must have a strong understanding of safeguarding and welfare principles, with experience of working with students and staff in a similar role.

A minimum of 5-9 in English and Maths (or equivalent) is essential.
