Job Opportunity: Staff Release Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Staff Release Engineer to join our newly established software engineering group at a globally recognized semiconductor company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the release engineering and branch management for production firmware releases.
  • Deliver thoroughly tested, production-quality downstream firmware to partners.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop comprehensive release plans.
  • Create detailed release notes and ensure clear communication with internal and external collaborators.
  • Manage the entire release process, including branch management and software version control.
  • Develop continuous integration pipelines to streamline downstream firmware release processes.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated expertise in release management and automation for high-quality system software.
  • Experience in software build processes and build management, covering release candidates and formal downstream software releases.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of quality assurance for platform software on server platforms.
  • Experience in defect triaging and defect management for system software releases.
  • Familiarity with open-source projects such as Linux Kernel, TF-A, EDK II, and OpenBMC.
  • Experience in managing a diverse team.
  • Practical experience with Yocto SDK.
