Job Description

Business Planning and Performance Manager

Role Purpose:

To set the overarching direction for Connect Plus Services and hold Business Performance & Planning (BP&P) functions to account for delivery against this role:

  1. Define Strategic Business Plan: Develop a comprehensive annual business plan to address the evolving demands of the network, our clients (National Highways and Connect Plus JV Parent Companies), and our stakeholders.
  2. Drive Performance: Hold functions to account and assure delivery against plan, ensuring alignment with company objectives and contractual obligations.
  3. Track, Analyze & Report Performance: Monitor and report on key performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

Financial Responsibilities:

  • Connect Plus Services: Support the Business Planning & Performance Director in reporting on financial performance associated with the Planning & Performance team.

Organizational Responsibilities:

Connect Plus Services: Responsible for team performance and developing collaborative relationships across BP&P teams, Asset & Network Planning, and Asset Delivery teams, as well as developing excellent working relationships with all key stakeholders.

Develop and Refine Business Plan: Prepare and regularly review and refine the Connect Plus Services business plan, considering current challenges, future opportunities, and evolving customer and stakeholder needs.Guide Business Performance: Address issues promptly and efficiently, holding business leaders accountable and closely monitoring performance against Strategic Business Objectives and contractual obligations.Collaborate with Senior Leaders: Work closely with other senior leaders to elevate performance levels and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.Foster a High-Performing Team: Empower and sustain a high-performing team dedicated to continuous improvement and meeting contract performance expectations.Business Strategy Planning: Experience in business strategy planning, performance management, and budgetary setting in a critical infrastructure environment.Resilience and Flexibility: Resilient and flexible, with strong planning and organization skills to deliver continuous improvement.Business Acumen: Business and politically astute, with a strong understanding of the industry and market trends.
