Senior Consultant in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an exceptional Full-time Consultant in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery with specialist interest in skin cancer for a 12-month fixed-term contract at Bristol Dental Hospital. This position offers the opportunity to be part of the Pan Avon on-call rota at a 1:8 level.

About the role:

  • The ideal candidate will hold eligible full registration with the GDC and a BDS (or equivalent) degree.
  • A GMC Specialist List for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (or within 6 months of eligibility) or equivalent qualification is also required.
  • Certificate of Accreditation or Intercollegiate Specialty Examination in OMFS following completion of SAC approved training programme or equivalent is a must.
  • A Skin Cancer Surgery Fellowship is highly desirable.
  • The selected candidate will have experience working with colleagues from other specialties involved in the management of patients with head and neck oncology.
  • Evidence of research abilities and willingness to participate in research relevant to restorative dentistry and Directorate's needs is expected.
  • A health record appropriate for the post is mandatory.

Salary Information:

We estimate the salary range for this position to be between £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
