Job Title: Lead Speech and Language Therapist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Neuro Rehab Times. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Speech and Language Therapy service, providing advanced specialist assessment and treatment, and taking a lead role in diagnosis and problem formulation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Speech and Language Therapy team, ensuring effective delivery of the highly specialist SLT service.
  • Provide advanced specialist Speech and Language Therapy assessment and treatment of communication and swallowing.
  • Take a lead role in diagnosis, problem formulation and planning of rehabilitation programmes within the multidisciplinary team.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of interventions using valid and reliable outcome measures and adherence to UKROC Database measures.
  • Develop and deliver in-service education and training programme for the wider multidisciplinary team.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate dysphagia training.
  • At least 2 years' experience of working at Band 7 level in a neurorehabilitation setting.
  • Supervision experience.
  • Ability to manage a complex case load independently with proven expertise in the field of neurorehabilitation.
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS.
