The company was established in 1976 as a family-run business and has since grown to encompass more than 320 Service, Parts, Sales, Transport, and Business Support Team Members. Farol remains 100% family-owned.

The company holds the renowned John Deere franchise, along with other brands, making it the market leader in agriculture, groundcare, and homeowner products.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Proactive Parts team at our Milton Common Head Office, just outside Thame. As a key member of the team, you will utilize our innovative tools and technology to deliver exceptional service to our customers.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to incoming customer calls and taking the necessary actions.
  • Utilizing the Proactive Parts App to contact customers with time-sensitive offers.
  • Maintaining regular contact with customers throughout the sales process, from initial contact to providing quotes, keeping them informed about delivery timescales, and invoicing once the order is complete.
  • Liaising with colleagues from other departments.

About You

The ideal candidate will have experience in the Parts industry, preferably in agriculture or golf and turf. Alternatively, candidates with a farming or agricultural background and familiarity with the industry, machinery, and terminology will also be considered.

Required Skills

  • A thorough understanding of golf and turf/agricultural machinery is essential.
  • Previous experience working within a John Deere or other machinery dealership is preferred.
  • Previous Parts experience is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a confident telephone manner.
  • Strong IT skills, with the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new software and systems.
  • The ability to self-motivate and work independently, managing your own workload, and also work as part of a team.

The company offers a competitive basic annual salary, a discretionary performance-related bonus, up to 25 days of holiday (plus Bank Holidays), a pension scheme, a free financial planning service, and ongoing training.

The working hours are 8am to 5/5:30pm, Monday to Friday, plus 8am to 12:30pm on Saturday mornings on a rota basis.
