About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Lounge. As a key member of our kitchen team, you'll be responsible for leading and supporting our chefs to deliver exceptional food quality and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead shifts and ensure the kitchen runs effectively and safely
  • Manage stock, health and safety, and hygiene practices
  • Uphold 5-star kitchen standards and ensure food goes out on-spec and on-time
  • Develop and implement training programs for kitchen teams
  • Recruit and manage kitchen staff, including apprentices and junior chefs

  • Annual salary up to £34,000
  • 40 and 48 hour contracts available

Requirements
  • Experience as a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef/Assistant Kitchen Manager
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, including stock management, health and safety, and hygiene practices
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and build rapport and trust
  • Strong knowledge of best practice around rota scheduling, sales and labour forecasts, reporting, recruitment, HR etc.
