Job Title: Multi Skilled Engineer Electrical Bias

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to support their production facilities. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will provide a professional and high-quality electrical engineering service, including day-to-day plant upkeep, reactive and preventive maintenance, and support for new and existing pilot plant work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Maintenance Manager, Chemical Engineers, and Senior Control Systems Engineer with new electrical/mechanical engineering developments and implementation.
  • Be responsible for preventative, reactive, and scheduled maintenance regimes of plant equipment and electrical maintenance across their site(s).
  • Assist/lead on new electrical/mechanical engineering projects, including new installations, modifications to existing plant/processes, and design, fabrication, procurement, installation, commissioning, and debugging.
  • Independently manage minor and medium-size electrical/mechanical engineering projects as required and to budget.
  • Ensure the efficient and safe operation of the production plant and equipment, including production process troubleshooting.
  • Identify electrical/mechanical improvements with a strong focus on safety and execute electrical and mechanical improvement projects from start to finish.
  • Review and implement risk assessments, supervise contractors and other personnel on specific jobs and tasks, and report and action on Health and Safety, Environmental, and Quality-related faults, failures, and non-conformances.
  • Maintain stock of components, fittings, spares, and liaise with suppliers.
Requirements:
  • Hold a minimum Level 5 NVQ or higher in Electrical Installations and 18th edition qualified.
  • Have at least 1-year electrical installations experience.
  • Knowledge of Industrial process and controls, PLC systems, and fault finding, and HV/LV distribution system.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to fault find quickly and efficiently.
  • Good understanding of technical diagrams and drawings.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to coach others.
