Electrical Maintenance Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a leading client-direct company in Hemel Hempstead. As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of critical plant and equipment in a commercial data centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance on all client assets.
  • Ensure accurate and comprehensive records are kept pertaining to health and safety, building compliance, and quality assurance.
  • Administer sub-contractor work approvals and ensure safe operation while repair or service is carried out on site.
  • Remedy plant faults and defects swiftly to maintain plant in serviceable order at all times.
  • Ensure suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance of the above plant.
  • Complete comprehensive maintenance records in the form of job sheets.
  • Prepare, review, and utilise method statements and risk assessments for all tasks to ensure safe working practices.
  • Action and complete assigned tasks as appropriate, including the utilisation of shift engineers to ensure the task is suitably completed.
  • Undertake annual appraisals of shift engineers.
  • Ensure shift team are suitably skilled and trained, and appropriate training plans are drafted and implemented.
Requirements:
  • Electrically qualified to Level 3 or equivalent.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Ability to provide copies of trade certificates.
  • Proven track record in commercial building maintenance.
  • Understanding of critical plant, including chillers, HVAC, UPS systems, and cooling towers.
  • Excellent customer skills.
