About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join our Riyadh Refinery Department Reliability Unit (RU) as a Compressor Engineer with a mechanical engineering background. The RU functions as a centralized engineering unit dedicated to meeting the technical needs of our refinery operations.

As a key member of the RU, you will provide technical support to our refinery operating plants, projects, and technology deployments. You will also play a crucial role in the development of junior Compressor Engineers, conducting specialized studies and analyses focused on rotating equipment assets.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical guidance, support, training, and expertise to plant departments.
  • Assessing plant operations, maintenance, and engineering for rotating equipment and compressor systems, recommending actions for improvements and system optimization.
  • Developing and maintaining lifecycle management activities for rotating equipment and compressor systems.
  • Coordinating Predictive Maintenance (PdM) and Preventive Maintenance (PM) for rotating equipment and compressor systems.
  • Ensuring manufacturing knowledge is captured and continuous improvement is achieved by benchmarking and improving practices across operating facilities.
  • Providing leadership and support for rotating equipment and compressor systems across operating facilities.
  • Offering engineering expertise and consulting on plant rotating equipment and compressor systems.
  • Conducting thorough failure analysis and issue recommendations, participating in equipment major failure investigation teams.
  • Gathering and analyzing critical operating parameters from DCS PI systems and operator checklists, recommending corrective actions.
  • Preparing detailed technical scopes for major equipment overhauls.
  • Maintaining and executing installation, configuration, and upgrade procedures.
  • Leading or supporting plant outages, shutdowns, and troubleshooting problems.
  • Performing system testing and health monitoring utilizing system logs for troubleshooting.
  • Creating and implementing new strategies to improve productivity and support startup and maintenance activities.
  • Reviewing Engineering Design Change (EDC) new and upgrade project packages, providing comments.
  • Establishing and maintaining an asset fault analysis database, ensuring completeness of data, drawings, and information, and updating all modifications.

Requirements:

  • Willingness to relocate to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in rotating equipment within a refinery or the Petrochemical industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of best engineering practices, solid industry codes, and standards background.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as System1, CCC, or Vibration CSI.
