We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs, particularly those with Autism, in our schools based in Crowborough.
About the RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic and personal growth, working closely with teachers and other support staff.
Key Responsibilities- Fostering a Positive Learning Environment: Develop a supportive atmosphere where students can develop their confidence and skills, promoting a sense of belonging and community.
- Supporting Students with SEN: Provide individualized support to students with complex learning needs, including Autism, profound and multiple learning difficulties, severe and moderate learning difficulties.
- Communication and Engagement: Utilize strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and staff, ensuring seamless collaboration and information sharing.
- Participation and Inclusivity: Encourage all pupils to participate in learning activities, extracurricular events, and school life, promoting social interaction and friendship development.
- Safety and Tidiness: Maintain a safe and tidy classroom environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines and regulations.
- Calm Composure: Remain calm and composed when faced with challenging behavior, using de-escalation techniques and problem-solving strategies to resolve conflicts.
- Safeguarding: Safeguard and promote the welfare of pupils, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Positive Attitude: Demonstrate a positive attitude towards your work, showcasing enthusiasm and dedication to education and child care.

The estimated salary for this position is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications, reflecting your value and contribution to our team.
