Salary Information

The estimated hourly pay rate for this role is £20.60 (Paye) or £26.65 (Umbrella). The total weekly salary is approximately £1,030 based on a 50-hour workweek.

Job Description

This is an on-going contract opportunity working on trains with opportunities for development and progression. You will be responsible for undertaking all types of mechanical/electrical fault finding and repair on Rolling stock units to ensure that a reliable, safe, and defect-free train is provided.

Main Responsibilities
  • Undertake routine maintenance from written instructions
  • Use computer-based systems to record and close out work completed
  • Apply necessary protection before working on units
Required Skills and Qualifications

A Level 2 qualification or higher in an Engineering discipline is a requirement. A proven ability to carry out routine maintenance and knowledge of computer-based systems are essential.
