Job Summary:

Cottrell Moore Ltd is seeking a highly experienced Accounting Leadership Role to lead our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving financial planning, analysis, and decision-making across the business.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial policies in agreement with the Head of Finance.
  • Lead the financial planning and budgeting process, including forecasting and financial modelling.
  • Oversee the month-end accounting process, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to improve financial efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Produce financial reports, including management accounts, profit and loss accounts, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to senior management and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Xero experience desirable but not essential.
  • At least 5 years' people management experience with a personable and positive attitude.
  • Able to train and mentor individuals developing their accountancy careers.
  • Proven technical ability with a strong commercial acumen.
  • Knowledge of modern management information systems.
  • Invoice discounting experience desirable.
  • Strong IT skills to include Microsoft Excel.
  • Able to organise and manage workload to meet tight reporting deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a confident people manager.
  • Qualified in CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent experience with at least 5 years' experience.

Estimated Salary:£55,000 - £70,000 per annum.
