The University of Exeter's Department of Clinical and Biomedical Science is renowned for its world-leading diabetes and genetics research. Our team of clinicians and scientists is dedicated to advancing our understanding of these complex diseases and developing innovative treatments.
We are seeking a highly skilled Research Technician to join our team and contribute to our research projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology and laboratory techniques, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform routine molecular techniques, including DNA and RNA isolation, DNA sequencing, and quantitative real-time PCR
- Ship and order samples and reagents, manage stock, and perform general laboratory administration
- Design and implement new assays under the direction and supervision of appropriate members of staff
