We are collaborating with a vibrant and expanding leisure organization that operates numerous venues throughout the UK. Their diverse offerings encompass a variety of leisure pursuits, all dedicated to providing outstanding customer satisfaction. As they embark on their growth journey, they are in search of a seasoned Chairperson to steer the strategic vision and development of the organization.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal applicant will possess substantial experience in a chairperson or high-level leadership capacity within a medium to large enterprise, ideally within the leisure or hospitality sector. Given the company’s global ambitions, prior international exposure and a robust network are essential for this position. This role may also appeal to an accomplished Non-Executive Director seeking to transition into a Chair role.

Key Qualifications:

  • Proven executive background in the hospitality or leisure industry.
  • Extensive experience in the international leisure market, with a rich network of high-level connections and a demonstrated ability to utilize these relationships for business development and growth.
  • Strong grasp of corporate governance standards and experience in guiding boards and executive teams.
  • Comprehensive understanding of strategic planning and implementation, with a history of fostering growth and innovation.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience in managing diverse stakeholder relationships.
  • A sincere passion for the leisure sector and a dedication to improving customer experiences.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support approximately one day per month, in addition to quarterly board meetings.
