We are searching for a Procurement Contracts Manager to support our Supply Chain Director in a new and exciting role.

Job Role

Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, you will be responsible for managing our supply base and delivering our supply chain strategy by implementing stock agreements, monitoring them, and supporting contract negotiations.

  • You will source products, materials, and select suppliers while ensuring alignment with Assurance of Supply, Quality, Service, Cost, and Innovation requirements.
  • Manage supplier performance against agreed measures, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Identify and exploit commercial opportunities through skilled negotiation and supplier relationship management.

Responsibilities Overview

  1. Day-to-day management of our supply base, including stock agreements and their implementation.
  2. Implementation and ongoing management of our Supplier Management Framework.
  3. Supporting the Supply Chain Director with contract negotiations.
  4. Source products, materials, and select suppliers, ensuring alignment with quality, service, cost, and innovation requirements.
  5. Manage supplier performance against agreed measures, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  6. Lead cross-functional supply chain projects.
  7. Build knowledge on our materials and supplier market insights to ensure strong commercial discussions with both suppliers and end customers via the sales team.

Personal Requirements

  • Experience in a Buyer or Procurement Manager role within the UK food industry, preferably 2-3 years.
  • Good understanding of contract law and procurement processes.
  • Strong project management skills.
