About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Administrator to support our client's payroll team during a system transition. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers the chance to work with a prominent company in their sector.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly and monthly payrolls, ensuring timely payments and accurate payslips.
  • Manage employee data, including pension contributions, pay changes, and leaver information.
  • Calculate wages and salaries, including pay raises, shift payments, and overtime.
  • Compile and verify hours worked within set deadlines for both weekly and monthly payrolls.
  • Handle employee queries related to timesheets, payslips, and payroll issues, collaborating with management as needed.
  • Administer sickness, absences, holidays, and average holiday pay calculations.
  • Perform PAYE/NIC returns, P11D submissions, and payroll balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate payroll data, including electronic wage transfers and employee bank details.
  • Work closely with HR to ensure up-to-date employee records and provide ad hoc reporting assistance.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, CIPP Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience, and strong knowledge of HR and labour regulations. The estimated salary for this role is £31,000 - £35,000 per annum, based on experience.
