Payroll Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Clerk to join our team in North Leeds. As a key member of the payroll bureau services, you will be responsible for processing a large portfolio of payroll clients.
About the Role:
This is a busy role within a friendly environment, requiring an experienced and driven individual to collect timesheet data and payroll information from clients, enter data into payroll and internal programs, calculate wages, benefits, tax deductions, and commissions, prepare and process payslips, and maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collecting timesheet data and payroll information from clients
- Entering data into payroll and internal programs
- Calculating wages, benefits, tax deductions, and commissions
- Preparing and processing payslips
- Maintaining accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions
- Preparing and distributing income statements
- Responding to payroll-related enquiries
- Performing account balance and payroll reconciliations
- Preparing financial reports for accounting purposes
- Preparing periodic payroll reports for review by management
- Processing payroll journals into clients' bookkeeping software
Requirements:
- A strong understanding of the full payroll process
- Good working knowledge of Sage 50
- Organised and accurate with attention to detail
Estimated Salary: £32,000 + Benefits per annum, based on experience and location.
