Job Title: Information and Intelligence Manager

The Information Department has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to join its Information Management Team. We are looking for someone with exceptional leadership skills and the ability to forge relationships at all levels of the organisation to lead our analysis function.

As our business intelligence approach continues to evolve, you will lead a team of analysts that leverage the benefits of the increased range of datasets made available via our data warehouse, with a focus on triangulation of previously disparate data sources.

You will work with all operational services across the organisation as well as Performance Management and other corporate functions to foster an information culture supporting data-driven decision making.

Main Duties of the Job
  • Lead the Information Analysis Service and be a key member of the senior management team of the Data, Intelligence & Insight Services.
  • Provide specialist analysis of highly complex data, integrating data from numerous sources, often from different provider organisations, translating this into meaningful outputs for managers.
  • Develop a culture that places analysis at the core of the decision-making process.
  • Formulate analytical tools that ensure highly complex models and analysis are easily understandable to service managers, translating difficult concepts into manageable solutions.
  • Be responsible for medium and long-term planning for the analysis service, ensuring that it remains abreast of the latest thinking within the field, and continues to support the changing requirements of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of specialists in the field of information analysis, supporting the full range of organisational requirements, from day-to-day analysis of issues within CPGs to Health-Board wide projects.
  • Work closely with CPGs to ensure their long-term development plans are fully understood and can be incorporated into capacity and demand analysis.
  • Liaise with the NHS Wales Informatics Service (NWIS) to ensure the Health Board's Information issues are effectively addressed within long-term planning on a national level.
