About the Role
Cumbria Health is seeking a skilled Respiratory Physician Assistant to join our team. As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of innovative services in the community.
Key Responsibilities
As a Respiratory Physician Assistant, you will:
- Assess and manage patients with undifferentiated presentations, utilizing your independent prescribing skills and autonomous practice experience.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care pathways.
- Develop and implement evidence-based plans of care, incorporating the latest research and best practices.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality, innovative services, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in clinical governance, audit, and risk assessment, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
- Support the management team in achieving QUOF/PIP targets and promoting the health and wellbeing of the community.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Significant post-registration experience (minimum 3 years) in a relevant field, with evidence of autonomous practice and leadership skills.
- Current NMC registration, 1st Level registration, and Independent Non-Medical Prescriber V300 qualification.
- Excellent communication and consultation skills, with the ability to work independently and effectively within a team.
- A willingness to undertake further training and to teach others, with a current driving license and access to a vehicle.
