About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading calibration activities for hybrid and pure electric powertrain systems, ensuring project deliverables are met. You will conduct hands-on calibration, focusing on balancing performance, energy consumption, NVH, and drivability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement calibration methods for new powertrain systems, working with control and software engineers.
  • Plan and execute testing activities, analysing data to drive system improvements.
  • Support powertrain integration and testing at both chassis and rig levels.

Requirements:

  1. Degree in Mechanical, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 8 years of post-graduate experience in powertrain calibration, preferably with an OEM or Tier 1 supplier.
  3. Strong expertise in Hybrid powertrain systems, including energy management, transmission control (TCU), and engine control (EMS).
  4. Proficient with automotive calibration and vector tools (e.g., ETAS INCA/MDA, CANape, CANalyzer) and familiar with software strategies.
  5. Flexibility to travel internationally for short periods when required.
  6. A valid UK work permit is essential.
