Procurement and Contracts Manager Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Procurement and Contracts Manager to lead our supplier relationships, ensuring our service delivery and commercial objectives are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Performance Management: Implement, monitor, and manage supplier KPIs to ensure an effective supply chain, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Contract & Price Management: Handle day-to-day management of key suppliers, including invoice validation, price increase management, and conducting regular supplier reviews.
  • Tender & Contract Management: Plan and manage supplier tenders/RFPs, ensuring that contracts are market-tested, competitive, and aligned with our operational needs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure contracts meet financial, operational, and customer objectives, while driving continuous improvements.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement process improvements with operational colleagues, particularly for smaller/local suppliers, to enhance efficiency and reduce administrative burdens.
  • Contract Transition & Termination: Manage the transition and mobilisation of new suppliers, ensuring a seamless experience for McCarthy Stone and our customers.

About the Role:

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the procurement and contract management function, ensuring that our suppliers deliver high-quality services and meet our commercial objectives.

Requirements:

  • Substantial experience in supplier and procurement management, ideally within a construction or services business.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage complex tenders from start to finish.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (or equivalent tools).
