About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Duty Manager to join our team at Aramark. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, bar, and functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage menus, prices, and descriptions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Oversee the efficient operation of all departments, maintaining good communication with the Duty Manager and Heads of Department.
  • Verify cash up processes at the end of each shift, reporting any discrepancies and ensuring all cash is secured in the safe.
  • Count and handle cash on shift, ensuring accuracy of transactions and reporting any variances.
  • Control stock, client, and company assets, ensuring all stock rooms are secure and access is granted to authorized personnel.
  • Liaise with customers, clients, and staff to ensure all business requirements are met to the highest standards.
  • Be a point of contact for customers, ensuring their needs are met and their health and safety are prioritized.
  • Deal with complaints and negative feedback in a professional and empowering manner.
  • Set up functions to meet business needs, ensuring timely and high-quality execution.
  • Liaise directly with event organizers, providing a seamless experience for guests.
  • Communicate accurate information effectively, including up-to-date function sheets and handovers.
  • Ensure staff uniform, personal hygiene, and equipment are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Oversee the restaurant, bar, and functions, ensuring cleanliness, food safety, and health and hygiene standards are met.
  • Ensure adequate stocks of food are maintained, controlled, and secured, with regular stock takes.
  • Complete temperature records daily for each function and record accordingly.
  • Complete company bookwork accurately, investigating any shortfalls.
  • Carry out reasonable management requests and promote the company in line with the Service Level Agreement.
  • Be conversant with COSHH regulations, company Health and Safety Policy, and Security Procedures.
  • Assist in stock takes, record information accurately, and pass details to the correct managers.
  • Report and take action for any incidents, including fire, loss, theft, damage, unfit food, or other irregularities.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail in all areas of the site.
  • Assist in the service of food and beverages in all areas, including the restaurant, bar, and conference and banqueting.
  • Assist in cleaning duties as required to support business needs.
  • Manage the restaurant booking system.
Requirements
  • Flexible and organized approach to the role.
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Supervisory or management experience.
