About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Functional Assessor to join our team at Advo Health. As a Functional Assessor, you will play a crucial role in the functional and disability assessments process, working with individuals who are applying for the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) benefit or a Work Capability Assessment (WCA) as part of the DWPs Health Assessment and Advisory Services (HAAS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Holding telephone, video or in-person consultations with individuals who are applying for PIP or WCA.
  • Assessing a variety of complex conditions and impairments.
  • Using strong verbal communication skills and writing high-quality, fair and accurate assessment reports using a special IT system.
  • Working with your line manager to advance your own professional development and career as a Functional Assessor.
Essential Experience and Qualifications

We are looking for individuals with a minimum of 12 months post-registration experience working as a Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Paramedic, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist. You must hold full registration with one of the following professional bodies: Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
