Job Overview

Nhs Scotland is committed to providing high-quality care to individuals affected by substance abuse. As a Substance Abuse Recovery Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting people struggling with addiction.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. A driving license and access to a vehicle are essential for this role, as regular travel may be required.

About the Role

This is a fixed-term full-time position, working 37 hours per week until March 2026. The successful candidate will provide person-centred care to individuals struggling with substance abuse, under the supervision of a Drug and Alcohol Recovery Nurse.

You will be responsible for carrying out agreed programs of care, assertively outreach to those at risk, and contribute to a supportive working environment.

Benefits

Nhs Scotland offers a competitive salary of £29,881 - £36,841 per annum, pro rata for part-time staff. The new working hours of 37 hours per week will be implemented from 1 April 2024, without a change in pay.
