About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced physiotherapist to join our Pelvic Health team as a Band 7 Lead Physiotherapist at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will share team lead responsibilities, manage a complex caseload of patients with pelvic health problems, and participate in research projects and service development.

  • Lead pelvic health groups and contribute to the development of innovative service projects.
  • Work collaboratively with the MSK pathway lead, other team leads, and perinatal pelvic health clinical specialist physiotherapist to deliver a high-quality, evidence-based, and responsive service.
  • Develop and implement effective clinical supervision, mentoring, and teaching strategies to support team members.
  • Participate in service development and contribute to the improvement of clinical outcomes.

Person Specification
  • Essential qualifications: Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent, Health and Care Professions Council registration, and continued education/training in the speciality area.
  • Desirable qualifications: Postgraduate training at masters module level or equivalent, management training, and involvement in relevant clinical interest groups.
  • Essential experience: Significant experience in core areas as a postgraduate physiotherapist, including musculoskeletal, neuro, and respiratory; senior level experience in MSK physiotherapy services and pelvic health; experience of people management, including undergraduate students.
  • Desirable experience: Previous Band 7 experience.
  • Essential skills and aptitudes: Excellent time/caseload management skills, excellent organisational skills, commitment to own and others' professional development, and commitment to team working.
  • Desirable skills and aptitudes: Experience of implementing change, experience of using clinical outcome measures and audit, and understanding of the political and professional agenda.
